In South Africa, the 16th of December is Reconciliation day.

The Sea Point promenade was buzzing with people from all over the city, particularly all over the Cape Flats.

On warm summer days people who once had a much more familiar connection to Sea Point come back and re-kindle what they lost during the forced removals of Apartheid. They bring their children and their grand children.

For a few hours the promenade becomes the biggest representative park in Cape Town.
